By reading the following you should understand fully what we collect and why we collect it.

Mela Roo, Inc., through Tenths.io and Tenths on Apple's iOS AppStore, collects data to assist in the functionality of the site and app.

Tenths on Tenths.io

Tenths.io is a marketing site for Tenths on the AppStore with plausible.io's analytics and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We really just want to know where users are finding us and generally where they are visiting from (general geography, not specific location and what sites brought you to us). We do not want to know anything else beyond that - this is just in case we get a DDoS, abusive high usage, or something similar and need to shut off access to certain ip ranges. Also, this will help us understand what links forward to us most effectively.

Tenths Encryption

Tenths is an encrypted time keeping app. All sensitive information is encrypted, end-to-end, on your device. If you have multiple devices allowed on your account, encryption happens one of two ways.

1. iCloud handles encryption key backups

   The first way is if you have backed up your encryption keys to iCloud. If your keys are backed up to iCloud, each device will create a private key from this backup. There will be no user required action on your part. If your device is stolen or lost, iCloud will be able to recreate your last backed up state when you restore from an iCloud backup.

2. You handle encryption key backups

   The second way is if you manage your key backups through 'seed phrases' located in the Account Pane. If you chose this route, you are solely responsible for backing up encryption key phrases and keeping them safe. If at any point you lose your device or it is destroyed (aka water damage), you must have a backup of both your data and the seed phrase to unlock your time entries.

Analytics Philosophy

We never collect data that can identify you, your clients, or the specific matters and entries you work on. We rely on user provided feedback and user enabled feature-use analytics for improvements. Crash Reports and Basic Analytics from Apple Diagnostics, if you share them, are helpful and follow your System Settings preferences. No analytics are required for use. Again, we never collect data that can identify you, your clients, or your inputs into the app.

When you contact support through Tenths, on the app

You will send us a message through a phone number or an email. We will then have a phone number or email associated with you. We will only use this information to support you in your request. We will only use the information received to communicate directly with you through our phone provider: OpenPhone or email provider: GSuites. If you would like us to immediately delete your data or delete your data at any time, please email with your request our privacy email at: privacy@tenths.io.

You are not the product. We sell a product for revenue and are not in the business of selling data - so we have no desire to collect yours - only if you ask us to contact you directly as outlined above.
